This is a brief howto on writing articles about certain places, such as office complexes, shopping centers, skyscrapers, etc. It is recommended you follow this format.

Creating an article

If the article you wish to work on does not exist, search for it. On the search results page, click on the link that says "Create this page." Be sure to add the page to its appropriate category - see below for more info.

Brief Overview

You should start your article with a brief overview of the place, such as opening date, number of elevators/escalators, how busy the place is, and so on. However, you should keep it short and simple.

List of Elevators

You should put a table of what elevators there are in the place. It is recommended you use this template:

Location Brand Fixtures Type Speed Installed Floors Filmed By Additional Information
Put the location here, please try and make it bold for ease of viewing Put the brand of elevator here If you know, put the type of fixtures here Put either "Hydraulic" or "Traction" here Put the speed (in feet per minute, or FPM) here Put the year installed here Put the number of floors here If anybody filmed here, list their YouTube name; if not, just put "None." Put any additional info you have here. This includes which elevator it is in a bank, if it is a death trap, or maybe if it was modernized.

Put a new row following that same template in for every elevator (to put a new row in, simply type |- for every new row you want to make). If something is unknown, just put "???."

Categories

You should add each article to an appropriate category, such as Office Buildings, Malls, or Hotels. Add: [[Category:Malls]] [[Category:Hotels]] etc...
